Advocacy
NAHREP
is the largest minority trade group in the real estate industry. As
NAHREP's member base has grown, our organization has become a powerful
and influential voice on legislative issues at the local, state and
federal levels. The NAHREP leadership and Board addresses issues at the
federal level, while affiliate chapters tackle local issues at the
grass-roots level. The strength of our collective voice is beginning to
effect change on lending policies and housing issues.
But,
that's only the beginning. NAHREP plans to create a political action
committee (PAC) in 2004 that supports the legislative interests of
Hispanic real estate professionals. Our endeavor is to secure greater
representation for Hispanic Americans on key regulatory and government
issues related to real estate.
Education
The U.S.
Hispanic community is a broad mix of culture of Latin people from around
the world. At NAHREP, our goal is to empower Hispanic real estate
professionals through educational tools and programs that teach members
to understand and effectively handle the cultural distinctions of their
clients. This includes certification programs, seminars delivered by
recognized experts in their fields, and a host of tools intended to help
members run sound, prosperous businesses.
Networking
Opportunities
Powerful things
happen whenever like-minded people come together. NAHREP national
conferences, seminars and local affiliate chapter meetings provide a
forum for the excited exchange of ideas, experiences and shared
challenges. Our members unanimously agree that this connection with
other Hispanic real estate professionals is an invaluable benefit to
them and a vital part of their professional network.
