NAHREP Los Angeles - Sergio Barajas

Mr. Barajas is a Community Development Relationship Manager with the National Community Stabilization Trust, responsible for eighteen states west of the Mississippi. As the Community Development Relationship Manager covering the Western Region his role is to work with state and local governments and nonprofit housing providers to facilitate the transfer of foreclosed and abandoned property from financial institutions nationwide to localities to promote neighborhood stability. Prior to joining the Trust, Mr. Barajas was Expanding Markets Manager at Freddie Mac, responsible for development of all single family affordable lending initiatives in the Western Region. In addition, Mr. Barajas worked for the City of Los Angeles for over 13 years, including Director of Housing at the Community Redevelopment Agency and as manager of the City’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
